Challenge
The platform had accumulated years of feature debt without a coherent design layer. HR admins and employees both struggled with inconsistent navigation, overloaded screens, and no design system, resulting in high churn from usability frustration.
Solution
Conducted a full UX audit and stakeholder research cycle, then rebuilt the experience layer in phases — starting with the highest-friction workflows. Delivered a component library that aligned the web and mobile teams for the first time.
Process
- +Conduct 18 user interviews across HR admin, employee, and manager roles across three countries.
- +Run competitive usability benchmark against two market leaders.
- +Prioritise redesign queue by churn-impact and development feasibility.
- +Design and iterate core flows in Figma with weekly review checkpoints with product and engineering.

Result
Transformed a compliance-focused legacy tool into a usable daily work companion — reducing churn, improving NPS, and giving the internal product team a shared design foundation to build on.
